LC14's Assembly

LC14's Assembly

Thank you very much for getting us all organised with our seating plan.

The children from LC14 told us about their research into the speed cars travel past our school.  One car was clocked at driving 70 km!  They also researched how children travel to school, and how long cars park in the drop-off zone in our parking bay.

We learnt about the topics children chose for their speeches, which were all about "Making a Difference" (their Social Sciences unit this term).

The children shared some of their experiences from Choice and Challenge on Friday afternoons.

Year 8 Mentors

Year 8 Students as Mentors for New Entrants

A new initiative introduced at West Melton School is for our Year 8 students to be "mentors" for our New Entrants.  Each child who joins our New Entrant class will now be allocated their very own Year 8 Mentor.  It's proving to be a huge success for everyone.
