Canterbury Netball Tournament

Canterbury Netball Tournament

Thursday 25th August 2016

Well done to our amazing Junior Netball team who competed at the recent Canterbury Primary School Sport Winter Tournament held at South Hagley Park. What a fantastic day had by all.

Our Netball A team had come third at the Lincoln Zone and were placed in the B Grade for this competition. Even though it was cool in the morning, our team played with real enthusiasm and came 1st equal overall. It was great result!

Thank you to Jessie McKee for coming in at the last moment and refereeing for us.  Also a huge thank you to all the parent supporters who came and encouraged the students on the day.

Thank you to Gavin Summerfield for sharing these photos.

After two postponements our netball teams were raring to go! The tournament is held at the  Lincoln Netball courts.

Our B Netball team gave it all on the courts.

Thank you to all our parents who had to juggle their days around to be able to help on the day.

We really appreciate your time and commitment to our sporting teams.

This year we sent a Y7/8 B Netball Team to the Lincoln Zone Winter Tournament.
The tournament was held at the Lincoln Netball Courts.

They enjoyed it immensely, coming tenth out of 20 in their grade event.
A BIG thank you to Kirstie Simpson for being the umpire on the day, and thank you to Kirstie, Barry Ward and Helen Howden in transporting our team to the event.

 Poppy the mascot!

The cold did not dampen the enthusiasm of our two netball teams at the Lincoln Zone Tournament held at the Lincoln Netball courts.

Both teams played 10 other schools and and enjoyed every moment.
