What are your Super Powers??

What are your Super Powers??

Hero Day

"I've got the POWER - powerful forces drive our world"

Moa 1 & 2 learners dressed up to find out what their Super Powers could be.

As part of our school-wide inquiry, our learners are understanding that they have 'powers' and we all have 'powers' that make us unique.

It all part of our new school values - Empowered, Connected and Innovative Learners, driving their passion for learning.

The West Melton School Teams

The West Melton School Teams

Welcome to another year at West Melton School.

This year we have a new team to our school - Piwakawaka, who will be teaching the New Entrant and Year 1 learners.

Here are all our teams - including our Learning Assistants and Support Staff.

What's missing??

What's missing??

Did you notice that there is something missing?

During the Christmas holidays our old classrooms, caretaker/sport shed and resource room were removed.

We are now waiting on building consent from the Selwyn Council.

Once that comes through, it will be all go!

Welcome back to West Melton School for 2016!

First our Kapa Haka group performed 'Tahu Potiki', then a welcome speech by our school principal Mrs.Jackson, and Mrs. Sands on behalf of the BoT.  The whole school also sung He Honore and Te Aroha to the new learners and staff. Our new staff members also received a gift from our land.
