Zone Athletics
Zone Athletics
On Friday 7th November, West Melton, Templeton, Rolleston, Clearview and a few other schools went to the Lincoln Zones Athletics at Ellesmere College.
From West Melton there were 52 students going for at least one event. During the day the events were long jump, high jump, sprints, relays, shot put and discus.
I made it to zones for long jump, sprints and relay and made it into Canterburys with my relay team, who is Emily W, Hannah K, Jessie M and I. There were lots of other relay teams there in the 10 year old girls.
From west Melton School we had quite a lot of placings like Jessie who got 2nd in her shot put and Esther B who had to do a jump off to see who got first and second.
At zones we got to see lots of our friends from other schools and spent the day catching up with them when we were not competing or supporting our school.
