Principal & Writers Awards - Week 6 Term 4

Congratulations on the following students who have achieved Principal and Writers Awards.

Principal Awards

Mitchell P – L.C. 6 – Mitchell has had a successful year in LC 6.  He has learnt that by being a self believer and self manager you can do anything.  He is also a wonderful team player and respectful citizen who helps with tidying up and uses good manners to his peers and leaders alike.

Camille Mc – L.C. 3 – Camille is a wonderful member of Learning Community 3.  She displays all qualities of a great KC kid.  She is going from strength to strength in her reading and is showing skill in other areas.  She always has lovely manner towards her teacher and peers.  She has great creative ideas when it comes to writing and often produces some lovely stories.  Well done Camille.

Sophie H. – L.C. 5 – Sophie is a wonderful member of our learning community.  She began the year as a shy and nervous wee bus, who, with hard work, self belief, resilience, good manners and kindness to others has blossomed into a highly respected and well liked member of our class.  Well done Sophie, this is just the start!

Kaia Davis – L.C. 8 – Kaia is a great KC Kid. She is a kind and respectful member of L.C. 8.  Kaia is always willing to help others out and is an excellent role model for the other children in L.C. 8.

Cushlagh Jennings – L.C. 10 – Cushlagh has shown huge improvements in all learning areas and continues to have a positive attitude towards her learning.  What a  SUPER star!

Megan A. – L.C. 12 – Megan has been chosen for the Principal’s Award because we (Mrs Adcock and Mrs Moake) have been very impressed with her calm, conscientious attitude towards everything that she does.  Megan is organised and consistently makes good choices.  When given a flexible timetable, Megan is able to remain focussed and responsible.  She is respectful and kind.

Writers Awards

Molly T -  L.C. 6 -  Molly has worked hard and showed lots of self belief to become an awesome writer.  She always writes interesting stories with lots of describing words.  Molly is now able to write in sentences correctly.  She is a superstar writer!

Edward H. – L.C. 12 – Edward is transferring his reading knowledge into his writing.  He is also able to use and expand his vocabulary knowledge.

Bed I – L.C. 8 – Bed is a star writer in L.C. 8. He has great imagination and always has lots of interesting ideas to include in his writing.  Bed likes to share his stories with the other children in L.C. 8.

Phoenix M-S – L.C. 3 – Phoenix has made a wonderful improvement in his writing this year.  He has learnt to slow down to make sure he is getting the best ideas down on paper.  We have had a big focus on descriptive writing and Phoenix always has such amazing creative ideas.  We have looked at including as many adjectives as we can and I can see Phoenix is trying really hard with this.  Well done Phoenix – keep up the amazing work.

Thomas R. – L.C. 10 – Thomas has continued to develop his personal voice in his writing.  Thomas takes risks and used exciting vocabulary that HOOKS his audience.  WAY to go!
