Amazing Electricity Demonstration
Rudy Kremers had the entire school enthralled today as he conducted several demonstrations of electricity at work using largely homemade equipment. The children were particularly impressed by the Tesla Coil!

Science Alive visits Kiwi Team
Science Alive
On Thursday LC8 did Science Alive. The two leaders were called Julie and Sarah. My fourth activity was cooking some bread because the toaster is electric. At the end of the cooking we got to eat the bread!
Then Sarah clapped her hands and said “time to move over now”. I had to go to another table. I got some sheep skin and rubbed it on something, which had balls in it. The balls went to the top and stuck on then fell down. Next I went to a table and kind of did magic. I rubbed a straw with sheep skin and moved a star without touching it!
It was the best day of my life! My favourite part was eating the bread and waking up Rosie the robot.

Science Alive
On Thursday 19th August we had Science Alive. We did it in LC8. Sarah and Julie taught us. Rosie is a robot. Her wheels spin round very fast.
First we did one activity with a light bulb and a fire truck. Next we had to do one with a circuit and a battery. Then we had to do one with a board and some power cords. It was really fun!

Science Alive
On Thursday the 18th of August 2011 Science Alive came to our school. LC8 saw them first.
First we sat on the mat. Then Sarah, one of the Science Alive ladies brought out a robot. The robot’s name was Rosie. Next we went into groups. Then we went to tables. After fifteen minutes Sarah said “tidy up”. We tidied up the table we were at and folded our arms. After we had been to four tables we stopped. It was awesome!
