Huge congratulations to Liz Coster teaching in Ngiao community, who has been awarded the Advanced Classroom Expertise Teacher Award through submitting her exemplary portfolio for consideration this year.
We are extremely proud and acknowledge Liz’s achievements.
Panel members were delighted with the insights the portfolios provided into outstanding teaching practice throughout the country. “Exemplary portfolios had a rich mix of qualitative and quantitative data and the commentary provided clearly pointed out how each data source contributed."
ACET recognition is characterised by its professional and procedural rigour. An independent panel of experts operate as a team within clearly defined professional and procedural parameters to ensure fairness and national consistency.
This enables both principals and teachers to have confidence in the final outcome.
Key features of the portfolio evaluation process include:
• thorough consideration of each portfolio by two panel members
• a second evaluation of each portfolio by a second pair of panellists
• moderation of each evaluated portfolio by the panel chair, with subsequent further whole panel discussion and moderation as required.
Well done Liz!
