Congratulations to these outstanding learners in receiving a Principal Writer's and Numeracy Award from Mrs Jackson today.

Jackson B - Moa 2 - Outstanding use of words, writing 'Thank You' letters to parents who helped on the Hanmer Camp.
Ryan D - Moa 2 - Outstanding use of words, writing 'Thank You' letters to parents who helped on the Hanmer Camp.
Amira B - Pukeko Ti Kouka - Amira is a Super Writer.  She enjoys writing and sharing her stories. She uses lots of detail and interesting vocabulary in her writing.  She is great at remembering to punctuate and she is an awesome speller.
Allegra V - Kiwi - Showing an amazing talent using effective words in her poem to hook her audience.
 Lily T - Pukeko Ti Kouka - Lily is a keen, clever writer.  She enjoys doing writing that she is going to publish.  Lily really likes writing narrative stories, especially adventure ones.  Lily is good at spelling and remembering capital letters and full stops.
Trae D - Pukeko Ti Kouka - Trae is a super Mathematician.  He loves problem-solving with different strategies.  He understands big numbers and knows quite a bit about fractions and decimals.  He is fast at basic facts.
Aiden W - Kiwi - Showing an amazing talent using effective words in his poem to hook the audience! Well done!

Theo L - Kiwi Team - For having fantastic manners and working really hard.  He is a "Super Scientist"!
Taylan E-D - Kiwi - For determination in class to strive for personal excellence.  Fantastic effort with trying hard!
Luke A - Ngaio - For having the most amazing manners and shows an awesome attitude both with his work and also outside the classroom.
Evie C - Piwakawaka 1 - For always trying her best - showing lots of perseverance.  Evie's behaviour is exceptional and she is a positive role model.

This weeks Celebration of Learning was hosted by the Kiwi Team.
They welcomed us all in pink...

Fegus & Maddie did an amazing mihi!
The Kiwi team sang with us the National Anthem.
Charlotte announced that the Kiwi's will now sing their own Kiwi song.

Awesome singing!!
Quarteah & Theo told us about their science experiment for Science week...


Taylan & Lily showed us a water experiment.  Very clever!
Piper asked for our Head Students to present a special cheque to the Aorangi Foundation.
Priscilla from Aorangi Foundation talked to us about how they were humbled with how much we raised for them.
Eimi & Aidriahna announced the top whanau:
6th place - Newton with 1300 points
5th place - Ross with 1550 points
4th place - Selwyn with 1575 points
3rd place - Langdale with 2300 points
2nd place - Hill with 2350 points
1st Place - Tricketts with 2650 points!!!

Tricketts sing their whanau chant.
Sophie asked Mrs McKee & Miss Allchurch to come on up and talk about the recent sporting events.
We also congratulated our duathlon athletes who recently competed at the Canterbury Duathlon Champs.



Congratulations to our winning Moa Cross-country Cup Champs:Junior Girls Isla, Junior Boys Aydan, Senior Girls Eva and Senior Boys Ezra.Well done on your amazing run!

Congratulations to our e-ticket heroes! These lucky learners, Hamish (who was lucky to have his name pulled out twice!!), Cooper and Rhiannon  have all won movie tickets.
These lucky learners won Picnic with the Principal today. Congratulations to Sam, Jack, Allegra, Zac, Micah & Lucy.
Sid helper Mrs Seaward announce our Mathletics winners.
Congratulations to all our GOLD Matheletics learners!
Mrs Sutherland announced our new Kapa Haka Leaders for 2016 - Jayda and Mason.
Congratulations, you both will be excellent leaders!
Sophia thanked us all for coming today.
