Canterbury Horticultural Society Schools Garden competitionBronze Award
On Thursday night (5th March) at the prize giving ceremony, the school was
very excited to receive a Bronze award for their garden. The awards ranged from
Gold to participation.
Comments from the judges were that they loved the rural
and river aspect of the garden. They also loved the storyboard and the story
that it told about the blending of the changing West Melton community. This was
also demonstrated in the formal garden at the front of the display. As judges
they were able to follow the river and as it move forward to the new aspects at
the front of the display.
Congratulations to Liz Coster and all our students who participated in this event,
our fantastic Eco-Warriors!!
