Ellesmere Cluster Speech Competition

Last night Abbey and Alessandra participated at the Ellesmere Speech Competition at Tai Tapu School. This competition is sponsored by the Lions Club of Selwyn. Each school who participated were able to enter one Year 7 student and one Year 8 student.
The girls competed against 16 other schools and even though they did not get a placing, both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Both were nervous especially Alessandra who was the first Year 7 student to present her speech.
They found it interesting to hear other students speeches but the one they both liked was "Why 12 year olds should drive cars"!
