My Year, My Challenge, My Marathon
Two West Meltonites took up the challenge this year in participating in the Christchurch Airport Marathon.
Congratulations to Eleanor B who came 2nd in the 1km Kids 5-6 girls event.
Amazing result!
Congratulations also to Brenda Quinn, our lovely Learning Assistant, who ran her first 10km race.
The Christchurch Airport Marathon was inspired by the 1974 Commonwealth Games marathon, and is renowned as one of the fastest courses in the world. This year it was based at Cathedral Square,with a flat course that went through Hagley Park and down towards the Avon River.
