At West Melton School in our wonderful Room 7, Mrs Herring has a student teacher in her class. Her name is Kate McKay. She is 16 years old and is currently a student at Darfield High School. For her work experience she has come to our school. Her cousin Brook McKay goes to our school too. Kate used to go to our school too. Whe she reflects on her schooling she thinks she had a wonderful environment to learn. She has always had an interest in helping children so that is why she wants to be a teacher. It is great having Miss McKay on work experience at our school.
